Working Through

Mom is hanging in okay after the third chemotherapy treatment. I think the side effects are beginning to accumulate. She's still extremely tired and her appetite is suffering a bit, now. But, she eats when she feels like it. It's just that she doesn't feel like it very often.

Her physical strength continues to improve. Pretty soon, she'll probably be able to outrun my Dad.

For now, it's just rest, rest, rest.

  1. Norma,
Rest is good while you continue to build up your strength. My prayer is that you will get stronger each day.
    Blessings,

  2. Mike,

Thank you so much for updating everyone on your mother's condition and treatments. I really appreciate having the ability to know how she is doing without bothering her with phone calls. Please let her know I am thinking of her and check each day to see how she is doing. Thanks. Charlotte Masters

  4. Dear Mike,

I know that you probably share our comments with your mom when you feel it is appropriate. So, I do hope you will share this one...

    Norma and James,

Pat and I watched (well, I cooked and asked the score from time to time) the Super Bowl game yesterday. Pat really did not have a favorite team. I, having no real football allegiance, was delighted that New Orleans won. It was a first for them and after all that has transpired in LA and particularly New Orleans, I was happy to see them so happy and also with positive rather than negative news coverage. Guess the judgment ministers wonder why God blessed such a sinful town with such a huge sports victory! I know, I know, I'm on my liberal stance as usual.

Anyway, Pat and I missed being with you guys for the big game. Remember,I used to win at least one quarter in the pot (much to everyone's chagrin since I rarely even knew who was playing). Also, James, you always made your fantastic BBQ. I always brought my pea salad. Being with you guys was the fun part for me...to heck with the Super Bowl. See you sometime after Feb. 21st when we are back in the hood. Love, KATHY AND PAT
