Mom welcomed the New Year pretty much the same as she said goodbye to the old one. Either watching TV, doing her PT, or taking a nap.
The periods of time between doctor visits are becoming monotonous, but that can be a good thing with a distinct lack of fires to fight.
She is holding her own, doing the best she can, and still interested in fighting as hard as she is able.
She appreciates the comments from everyone and all the good thoughts sent her way.
2010 is here. Let's get on with it.

and maybe the periods of tiredness are her body's "recovering and healing" from treatment. We hope 2010 gives her much healing!
ReplyDeletePlease let your folks know we keep up with them through your blog. We, too, were glad to see 2009 say goodbye and 2010 step up to the plate. I feel a strong sense of promise in the new year. Of all the women I've known, your mom is one of the strongest and most resilient. Her remission is on its way, I believe. Change is a fact of life, but our response to it is what matters. My dad used to say, "It's not what happens; it what YOU think happens." Your mom and her great spirit are responding well. Our continued love to you and your whole family, Mike. Special love for your dad and your mom, my dear friend Norma. Blue skies, Kathy and Pat
ReplyDeleteNorma, you keep up that fighting spirit. As one who's been down that road, I can recognize a fighter and survivor, and you are one. I've always known that about you.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you need ANYTHING. Would love to see you sometime if possible. Here's to a better year! Alan and I send all our love and good wishes.

Norma and family,
ReplyDeleteI hope 2010 will bring you peace and healing as you climb this mountain. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. In fact, I dreamed about you last night...we were teaching a workshop at a TCEA conference on how to use TENET. Now that is a thought from the past!!!
Hope your weekend is restful.
